Students enrolled in the university’s student health insurance plan can enjoy a variety of benefits, including: -Medical evacuation coverage: If you need emergency medical care that is not available in your home country, Utsa will help cover the costs of your medical evacuation. This coverage extends to any country within the European Union and more than 60 other countries worldwide. -Extended coverage for preexisting conditions: If you have pre-existing conditions, Utsa will cover them until the end of your semester or school year, whichever comes first. This coverage also covers medications that you take as part of your treatment for those conditions. -Deductibles and copays reduced: For most plans, the deductible and copays are lower than those offered by most other health insurance plans. In addition, you may be able to use your UTSA plan to pay for some prescription drugs. -A wide range of benefits: Your UTSA plan may include benefits such as subsidized dental care, vision care, and mental health services.
