How long can i be away from home?
The time that you are allowed to be away from home without insurance coverage is called your “travel notice period.” Your travel notice period is the number of days that you have before your policy expires. You must notify Amex promptly if you will be absent from home for more than the duration of your travel notice period. If Amex does not receive notification within 72 hours after your planned departure, your policy will automatically expire and cover you for only 72 hours after your return to home.
